More details coming in August 2017

We were very pleased to be invited by Slow Food Anglia in the UK, Bullitt Catering and Holkham Hall Estate in north Norfolk to be involved with the 2017 Slow Food festival and Sagra which was held at the newly refurbished Lady Elizabeth Hall on the Estate on April 8th. This was the first Slow Food festival to be held at Holkham and after the terrific response from the public and traders there are now plans to hold a larger Slow Food festival at the estate next April at the estate. Holkham Hall is a beautiful English stately home set in 23,000 acres of parkland, woods and farms on the north Norfolk coast and the current owners, Lord and lady Leicester are supporters of excellent local sustainable food and modern environmentally friendly agricultural practice.
On Saturday 8th April during the day there were 30 traders and producers present in the recently refurbishes Lady Elizabeth Hall on the Holkham estate with another eight street food traders and local charities with stands outside in the courtyard. We had aimed to have a wide selection of local producers including Norfolk Saffron, Pye baker with their artisan produced breads, and the superb Fen Farm diary from Bungay in Suffolk with their raw milk Baron Bigod cheese. Everyone concerned in this first exciting event were very pleased with the response to the festival and the staff at Holkham  believe that over 3,000 visitors came during the course of the afternoon.
Festivaldelgusto worked closely with Slow Food Anglia on this prestige event in Norfolk and together with Bullitt catering from Norwich we were able to offer guests an Italian style Sagra meal in the evening, where up to one hundred and thirty guests enjoyed a four course meal. The meal was prepared by Mark Matless of Bullitt catering one of the Slow Food Anglian regions Chef alliance members and we hope to working with Mark on other similar events both in the UK and possibly Italy in the coming year. Slow Food Anglia now hold two Sagra events in Norfolk and the other parts of the Anglian region each year but this is the first that we at festivaldelgusto have been asked to be involved with the logistics and planning.
